The first China Think Tank Construction and Evaluation Summit Forum hosted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Evaluation Studies (CASSES) was held in Beijing On October 19th. More than 100 experts and scholars of domestic think tank from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the professional think tanks affiliated with ministries, the provincial and municipal local Academy of social science, Chinese Academy of governance, the think tanks of various universities, the corporate think tanks and the social think tanks attended the forum. In addition, the forum also invited more than 40 mainstream media, as well as colleagues who care about and pay attention to the establishment and development of the CASSES.

In the forum, the CASSES released the 2018 China Think Tank Achievements and Talent Evaluation Report. On the basis of the previous comprehensive evaluation results of the Chinese think tank, CASSES made further analysis and research on China's main think tanks from three sub-items, “policy consultation” and " academic achievements” and "innovative talents", aiming at scientifically evaluating the current situation of development of China's think tanks, and launching authoritative, credible, guiding and constructive evaluation results. CASSES believed that the selected typical think tank talents and achievements will further promote the construction of high-end think tanks in China and lead the Chinese philosophy and social sciences to the world. CIBOS of Wuhan University won the "National Policy Award" for the 2018 China Think Tank due to the excellent performance in policy consultant and advice. It is reported that during the assessment process, a total of 478 applications meet the reporting requirements. After preliminary session, a total of 157 applications entered the final session which performed by experts. Finally, There are 47 winners for “China Think Tank Consultation Award”, 57 for the “China Think Tank Academic Achievement Award”, and 53 for the “China Think Tank Innovation Talent Award” according to each sub-item mentioned before. More in detail, the evaluation results were subdivided into the “National Policy Award” and “Local Contribution Award” for the China Think Tank Consultation Award, the “Excellent Report Award”, the “Excellent Work Award” and the “Excellent Paper Award” for the Chinese Think Tank Academic Achievements Award, “Leading Figure Award”, “Pioneer Character Award” and “Young Model Award” for China Think Tank Academic Achievement Award.
