【ABOUT THE COMPETITION】

The Chinese Society for the Law of the Sea and Wuhan University China Institute of Boundary and Ocean Studies are proudly to announce that the 2019 Sino International Law of the Sea Moot Court Competition is scheduled to take place in early November 2019 in Wuhan, China.

The competition will simulate legal proceedings under Part XV of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) before the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea, or proceedings of other international courts and other tribunals. The final round of the competition will be presided by a team of members including judges from international courts and tribunals. This competition will offer a unique platform and opportunity for students to discuss current and challenging issues of the law of the sea.

The Organizing Committee will sincerely invite and welcome universities from the world to participate in this competition. Interested universities will be requested to register by email before 20 May 2019.

The Case and Supplementary Rules of Procedure will be published on the linkage of http://www.cibos.whu.edu.cn/ on 20 April 2019.

Appendix: Competition merge announcement

In joint consultation with the Chinese Society for the Law of the Sea and the competition initiators, the Organizing Committee decided that the “3^rd Law of the Sea Moot Court Competition (LOS-MCC)” and the “Sino International Law of the Sea Moot Court Competition（SINOLOSMCC）” will be merged as one. The competition will be held by Wuhan University China Institute of Boundary and Ocean Studies. The Organizing Committee will invite university students from around the world to participate in the competition.

Due to the merge of the competition, the oral proceeding scheduled is postponed to 2 November and 3 November 2019. The Case and Supplementary Rules will be published in 20 April 2019.

We feel sorry for the inconvenience caused by the merge of the competitions. If the team that has submitted the registration form is affected by the postponement, please send the information of changed team member and submit the new registration form to the designated email address: losmcc@163.com.

比赛通知

【关于赛事】

中国海洋法学会和武汉大学中国边界与海洋研究院定于2019年11月上旬在武汉举办2019（中国）国际海洋法模拟法庭竞赛。

本项比赛将模拟适用《联合国海洋法公约》第十五部分的程序——联合国海洋法法庭的法律程序或者其他国际法庭和仲裁庭程序。决赛将由包括国际法庭和/或法院的法官组成的裁判小组裁决。本项比赛将为参赛同学提供宝贵的机会和独特的平台，学习和探讨当前海洋法领域的热点和前沿问题。

赛事组委会将诚挚邀请世界各地对本项比赛感兴趣的高校机构参与比赛，有志于参与本项比赛的机构应于2019年5月20日之前通过邮箱注册。

比赛的案例及相关附则将于2019年4月20日公布在武汉大学中国边界与海洋研究院网站，网址为：http://www.cibos.whu.edu.cn/。

附：赛事变更通知

2019年1月5日，经赛事主办方及发起单位共同决定，“第三届全国高校海洋法模拟法庭邀请赛（LOS-MCC）”与“中国国际海洋法模拟法庭竞赛（SINOLOSMCC）”两项赛事将合并举行，由武汉大学中国边界与海洋研究院主办，将邀请世界知名高校参与本次比赛。

因赛事的合并，原定于2019年6月8日—6月9日举行的口头比赛延期至2019年11月2日—11月3日，案例及规则附录将于2019年4月发布。

由于赛事合并对各高校代表队带来的不便，赛事组委会深表歉意。如比赛的延期对已提交报名表的高校代表队有影响，请及时变更队员并提交变更后的报名表至指定邮箱losmcc@163.com。
